"Exciting non-stop adventure with a hot, sizzling chemistry to melt the pages!"
Amira Nassiri is the daughter of a wealthy perfume tycoon.
Being the benefactress of a certain museum, she receives a
strange ancient bottle from the museum curator, and that's
where all her troubles started. Chased by men in black with
the requisite sunglasses, gun-toting mercenaries, and
handsome hunk Mitchell West with whom she'd shared a past,
Amira's safe world turned upside down, hurtling her into
danger and excitement. This is book 3 in the Trouble series, and I must mention
that I haven't read books 1 and 2. Also, it seems to me
that the entire series is one whole story, and that this
book is the culmination of the adventure that started in
book 1. Still, this didn't detract me from enjoying this
book, as the author provided just the right amount of
backstory that is necessary. I like the author's refreshing take on the genie-in-a-
bottle theme. Action mixed with romance and hot, sizzling
tension between the main characters make for a dynamite
combination in this story. From the first page, the
adventure started and didn't let up until the last. Amira,
though overprotected due to her status, is a smart, gutsy
woman who thinks on her feet. Mitch is the perfect foil for
her as he gave her the freedom she needed to realize her
potential. There is a sort of "tongue in cheek" humor throughout the
story that held toward the end. With a "genie" in the
story, I expected this book to be a fun and mad headlong
rush. And it was. However, the villain's actions toward the end (the part
where she was waiting for the third bottle) jarred me out
of the story for a moment, as I don't believe any serious
villain would engage in the actions she did. The way she
was dealt with when the heroes have the upper hand weren't
that believable as well. Despite these instances, I enjoyed
the adventure and the chemistry between Mitch and Amira
very much.
