"You will lose yourself in the characters"
Fallyn Mitchell is looking for that one big story that will
land her the job of a lifetime as a reporter. When her
boss tells her that the local, rich recluse has requested
Fallyn to do an exposé on him and set the stories straight,
she feels her big break has finally happened. Simon Clairmont feels he has a reason to be secretive; he
is a vampyre who has lived for centuries. With the help of
the people he employs, his friends and his cousin Reece,
also a vampyre, he is able to stay out of the public eye.
He has found the one person he is willing to make
sacrifices for, Fallyn. With the help of her boss, Simon
manages to get Fallyn to come and stay at his home to learn
more about him, and get an exclusive interview. During her stay at Simon's home Fallyn is learning more
than she intended to. She has found out that the man she is
falling for is a vampyre, and that his brother will do
whatever he can to destroy Simon and all that he cares for;
including taking Fallyn away from him and making her his
own. Can Simon and Fallyn save each other and fight side by
side? Will Simon be able to bring himself to fight his own
brother to save a mortal? A wonderful story of two people brought together regardless
of their different lifestyles and secrets. With some humor
added, Lisa Phillips has written a story where you can lose
yourself in the characters and what they must endure and
conquer. An excellent debut, I am looking forward to
reading the next story written by Ms. Phillips.
