Medusa's Island . . . a vacation paradise complete with
beautiful beaches and a small town named after it. But the
island's serenity is shattered when two young women are
found dead from no apparent causes despite their
expressions of terror. Chief of Police James Winchester is
in charge of finding out what happened. Sensing there is
more to this puzzling case, he sets out to find the person
responsable or "what". Emma Gray, who constantly fears from her own terrifying
experience 5 years ago, is afraid that the monster who
attacked her is still out there and somehow connected to
the girls deaths. Working together, they draw closer and closer, with Emma
slowly losing her fear of James. While James finds it
harder to keep his secret from Emma. With their passion for
each other growing, they discover that Emma is destined to
be the next victim. Will their growing love for each other
be enough to beat the monster or will he finally finish
what he started five years ago? I have not read any of Allie Harrison's books before, but
this will be one author I look for now. She captures your
attention from the begining, with a great action scene and
it just gets better from there. The relationship of Emma
and James is very well written, and thought out. How he
handles Emma with her fear and worries makes me love James
so much! What a knight! Let's not forget the big "secret"
that he dosent want Emma to ever find out for fear of
losing her. Overall a really entertaining and well written
novel of a beautiful newfound love that is everlasting,
with a touch of paranormal.
