Elizabeth Winters is tired of running from a vicious
vampire stalking her, so she decides to run no more. Making
a stand, she meets her vampire stalker at a clearing in her
home woods. Battling it out, and losing, she is rescued by
an unexpected source. Samuel Woods, the leader of wolf
shifters and Elizabeth's true mate. Tracking Elizabeth
down to get some answers about her 'too close to the truth'
novel about shifters, Sam wasnt expecting to find his true
mate. Let alone, to find her battling a vampire. Coming to
her aide, he intercedes to prevent the vampire from killing
Elizabeth, but not from getting away. Together they try to
track down the vampire and deal with the true mate bond.
One is all too happy to have found his mate and the other
is too independant to give up her freedom. Sam and
Elizabeth must find a way to stay alive, from the vampire
on their trail to the traitors in their midst. Bonnie Rose Leigh has a true gift for storytelling. This is
such a great series. It has it all, from romance to the
action scenes, and who dosen't love a good paranormal tale
of vampires and werewolves? This series is best read in
order for the character association, which you will fall in
love with them just like I did. The first, The Protector's
Destiny tells Sam and Elizabeth's story and you meet the
characters for book 2, The Protector's Jewel, and the
conclusion, The Protector's Keeper. It is always a treat to
find out what happened to the characters you have come to
know. My advice, if you are looking for a good paranormal
romance, with plenty of action, and steamy scenes, this
series is for you.
