"Great characters, wonderful storytelling"
Regan Matthews, is scared! She is used to fear in her job
as a prosecuting attorney, but something that started out
small with phone hang-ups is turning more personal. When a
nasty note ends up on her car after work one night, she
finally admits to herself that she needs help. Hearing
about The Sentinels through a friend, she decides to make
the call. Taking the call late at night is Brian Spencer. Part of The
Sentinels, a group of eight shapeshifters who are all that
are left of a powerful pack, formed a detective agency that
protects humans in wolf and man form. Once he sees her,
Brian knows he must have Regan. For she is his Mate. Now
all he has to do is somehow convince her that he can
protect her, and reveal his secret; that he is a
shapeshifter and that she is his mate! Will she accept him
or run away? This is the first book by Desiree Holt that I have read and
I must say I was pleasantly surprised. It grabs your
attention from the start, and just guides you through til
the end! The instant attraction the main characters feel is
very believable. The love scenes, pretty hot, set my pages
on fire! Great characters, wonderful storytelling and very
well written, I will not be missing anymore of Ms. Holt's
books. Don't miss book one in The Sentinels series called
The Edge of Morning. She also has several books already
out, this is one author you will like to add to your
bookshelf!
