"An erotic historical tale of seduction"
Lord Gabriel Laramore is in a marriage of convenience with
his beautiful wife Carmody. In the two years they had been
wed, they have not shared a residence, let alone a bed. He
had not expected to fall in love with his wife, but he
keeps her at a distance for fear of her discovering his
family secret. Carmody is desperate for the attention of her aloof
husband. After several failed plots to gain Gabriel's
notice, she attempts to seduce her handsome husband. She
did not plan for his want to be so intense and animalistic. Just enough information was given to understand the
relationship between Gabriel and Carmody, but I wanted more
on their initial courtship, two years previous to the
setting of this short story. Although Seducing His
Lordship is paced well and intriguing, I felt that
something was missing concerning Gabriel's secret. Yes,
the secret plays a point in the plot, but could be removed
without much, if any, detriment to the overall story. I liked this story. Gabriel and Carmody are interesting,
believable characters and the seduction is steamy hot. Any
lover of historical romance will enjoy this quick read.
