"Humans in need of Sanctuary"

The Evanoff Horse Sactuary was as much a sanctuary for it's owner,Nick, as it was for abused horses. He took beaten, starved horses in, healed and trained them and let them live out their lives in peace on his acreage. Little did he imagine the sanctuary his new neighbor was in need of. Morgan Fletcher had barely survived six years in a horribly abusive marriage before a drunk drive killed her husband. A talented artist, Morgan went searching for solitude in the Montana mountains. A place she could paint and heal. She had a lot to heal from....memories, a broken hip, facial scars and very low self-esteem.

Nick braced for the collision between the car and his horse trailer. He had seen the car out of control on the mountain road and knew the safest thing to do was to let it hit him rather than fly off the side of the mountain. By the time he realized the driver was his new neighbor; he had already fallen for her. He had no idea how hard it was going to be to deal with her memories, his past life and the fact that he had fallen hard.

Can a broken woman be healed by a horse trainer with a hard past? This was an exceptional book. The horse story alone was well worth the time in reading; but when you add in a hunky cowboy, his ornery little brother and an absolutely beautiful heroine with nightmare quality memories you have a great book!

SUMMARY

Scarred and with a permanent limp, Morgan moved to a quiet cottage in rural Montana wanting tranquility, solitude, a place where she could heal from the brutality inflicted on her by her late husband. Ex-convict, horse trainer, Nick Evanoff didn't need anyone, at least he never had. Then he spotted Morgan sitting in a copse of trees, technically trespassing. One glimpse of her stopped his aggression cold. In its place lust rose; powerful, primitive, demanding. There was something else there too - need But Morgan was determined to have nothing to do with men, and to go nowhere near a relationship ever again. Could Nick work the same magic with Morgan that he worked with the abused horses he rescued? Could he teach her that it was safe to trust, that sex didn't have to be painful or humiliating?
