"Urban romance with a punch"
Alexa O'Brien is a werewolf with the metaphysical powers of
a vampire. Starting out as an independent assassin she was
approached by a vampire, who also happened to be a
paranormal investigator, to join with a firm to police the
paramormal community. She jumped at the chance to take down
the bad guys. Alexa can't deny that her power draws her to Arys Knight, a
vampire. The feeling is mutual. When they finally come
together, no one could have predicted how much stranger it
could get. But does Arys want her for herself? Or for the
power they create together? And what of Shaz Richardson, a
fellow werewolf that she has real feelings for? Vampires, Demons, Werewolves and Witches, this book has
them all, mixing them up in a new and interesting way.
Trina M. Lee's Urban Romance series is off to a good start
in Once Bitten. Taking a hardcore slant, where
vampires do drink blood and do kill their victims, where
werewolves pounce and rend, Ms. Lee doesn't pull any
punches. I'm eagerly waiting for book two.
