"A hot steamy romp"
Dr. Hannah Richards was a woman searching for atonement.
When her daughter was kidnapped, she was forced to help a
secret government agency commit atrocities on their own
soldiers. When it seemed that she would never get her
daughter back, she fled at the first chance she got. The
one man who could help her was an escapee of "Hell
Hospital," the lab she had worked at. Somehow, she had to
convince him to put aside his hatred, and help her save her
daughter. Ramon Osceola was a man who wanted to escape. The victim of
secret military genetic experiments, he was now a
shapeshifter. Hiding out in the Florida swamps, he wanted
nothing to do with the woman that wrecked in his front
yard, or the men chasing her. When he found out that his
uninvited guest was one of the monsters who had made him,
he didn't know what to do. Part of him wanted to kill her,
but an even larger part of him was madly attracted to her. Hannah and Ramon join forces to rescue her daughter, but
will he be able to forgive her for her role in his past?
Will he be able to come to terms with the creature he has
become? Will the attraction between them develop into
something more? Will Hannah see her daughter again? NAKED PREY was a thrilling story! Ms. Jackson has created a
riveting cast of characters, including the shadowy figures
responsible for the experiments that produced Ramon.
Ramon's character was excellently done, he is a fantastic
example of the smoldering broody hero. Hannah was a very
good foil for him, tormented in her own right about the
things she was forced to do, and determined to make amends
for them. All in all, this was an interesting read.
