Brioni is a human living in the underworld on Earth in a
time of war between non-humans and humans. She finds
herself attracted to Haruto, a man who is always wearing
goggles so no one can see his eyes. She knows that he is
not human, but she does not know exactly what he is. Not
even Haruto himself knows all the secrets about who he is. Haruto is half Lycan and half human, genetically altered
and trained from birth as an assassin. After escaping from
Inu, he hides in the underground system where he meets
Brioni and fights with her and the others to save the lives
of the people living in the underworld. During a battle
with their enemy, the Iron Conclave, Haruto feels he has no
choice but to run when accused of killing one of their own. Brioni searches for the truth to save Haruto and discovers
information that could end the war with their enemies. Now
she must do what she can to stay alive and to find Haruto,
the man she has fallen in love with. If you enjoy sci-fi mixed in with the steamy love scenes,
and have had the chance to read the other three books in
Nathalie Gray's Lycan Warriors you should like this one as
well. Good combination of romance along with the battle
scenes, the story was never boring.
