"Nothing better than a shape shifter romance, and it's only better times two wonderful alpha males."
Note: This is a sequel to Golden Eyes, if you plan to read
Golden Eyes, I suggest you read these books in order. This
book can stand alone, but Golden Eyes was a wonderful read
and will enhance your enjoyment of this book so much more. Jericho and Hunter strive to keep their lost love's memory
alive, in doing so the men cause themselves a great deal of
pain and hurt. Keeping her memory alive involves a
dangerous job that can kill them if they are not careful.
These two strong, intense males believe they will never
again have love, nor will they ever again share a woman in
love. It's too painful. Until, that is, the enigmatic
creature, Kaya shows up in their cabin. Starving and cold,
and so like the cougar that watches them from afar, she is
timid and fearful of the men. Kaya has lived so long apart
from the world of humans she struggles to interact with
these men that draw her. Forced as a child to fend for
herself, can she learn to trust Jericho and Hunter? Trust
them with a secret that could send her out into the cold,
running yet again. Can the men believe that the cougar they
have come to know in their remote wilderness is in fact,
their Kaya? Once her secret is known, will they still love
a shape shifting woman with the spirit of the cougar? Once trust and love is given, it's given intensely,
wholeheartedly. By all three lovers. When yet another
dangerous assignment calls them away, the men vow they will
return to her. However, the mission goes terribly wrong.
Left alone yet again, Kaya finds herself pregnant by her
mates, and alone. Can the men survive the cruel betrayal
their mission will suffer? If they do, will Kaya still be
there or will she believe herself abandoned by those she
loves, yet again. Even if they can survive, can they regain
Kaya's trust? Ms. Banks always manages to bring such vivid characters to
life. She can write a polyamorous love affair that will
leave you breathless and wanting more. I recommend you read
Golden Eyes prior to reading Amber Eyes, either book can
stand alone but I adored them both. You will enjoy the love
and understand the pain of Kaya so much more by reading
both books. There is nothing better than a shape shifter
romance, and it's only better times two wonderful alpha
males. This novella will fill a day with an emotional and
heated ride. I highly recommend Maya Banks period, and
Amber Eyes is no exception to the rule.
