"When in doubt, tie them up!"
The third of the Stormy Weather Series brings us Laurent
Deveraux and the love he's held on to for centuries,
Violet. While Laurent is overjoyed to see Violet again,
he's a bit dismayed that she's now a vampire who has been
contracted to kill him. She has no memory of her former
life before becoming a vampire and is linked with her sire
who wants her for his own bidding. I enjoyed this tale above and beyond the first two in the
series. Laurent is aggressive in his pursuit of Violet, and
she is unsure why she can't kill him as she's done in the
past. The pace is fast, the sex is hot, and the interaction
between the two is engaging. I think Laurent is my favorite
Deveraux. He uses passion to unlock the memories that have
been withheld from Violet. There was much more to this tale than sex or even a lost
love. It was a connection of two people that has withstood
the test of time, absence, and even rebirth as a new being.
Selena Blake did a wonderful job with Bound and
Determined. I look forward to reading future works by
Ms. Blake.
