"Thrilling short story with a surprise ending!"
After the death of the love of her life, Julie Blalock
retired from MI6. Even though it's not the most exciting
job in the world, Julie now works in an accountant firm.
It's been eight years since she retired, so when she
receives a call from someone in MI6, Julie is intrigued and
meets a man from the Ministry of Defence. Of course, it had
to rain during the meeting. Turns out the agency wants to
use Julie for a one-time op. They want her to impersonate a
socialite during an invitation-only auction. The lot the
Ministry is interested in is Lot 62—the Archangel. The
Ministry is also interested in the woman putting the items
up for bid—Esther May Morrow. Exactly who is Esther May Morrow? What is the Archangel and
why is the Ministry so interested in it? Will Julie be able
to pull off the op? LOT 62 AN ESTHER MAY MORROW MYSTERY is a short, thrilling
story. Arthur Everest does a fantastic job of setting up
the story and seamlessly weaves in Julie's past association
with MI6. While this story can easily be read in one
sitting, it's full of non-stop action and kept my interest.
If you're in the mood for a quick, thrilling read with a
very bizarre ending, don't pass this by.
