"Not all matches are made in the Heavens...."
Lucille Wainwright is your average hardworking non-magical
witch. Unable to do the simplest spell, she opens her own
business, Paramatch.com. Knowing that paranormals
all have their own little quirks to put up with, she runs a
successful matchmaking service for them. There is only one
client she can not find a match for, the deposed king of the
Titans, Jager Cronus. Cronus, goes on every date Lucille sets up for him, knowing
they won't work out. From the first day he laid eyes on
Lucille, it is her, and her only, he wants. Fed up with
being unable to break through her professional facade, He
demands a date with her to the annual Legion Halloween
Dance. She counters that he has to go on two other Paramatch
dates first, hoping he will find love. Just when things start looking up for the couple, Cronus
learns of a plot to overthrow the Witches council, led by
his ex-wife. The Witches Council is the governing body over
all paranormals, and is sworn enemy of the Titans. However,
the Council is also the home to Lucille's family. Cronus knows he wants Lucille for eternity, but with all
that conspires to come between them, that may not happen.
But he is a Titan and he is willingly to fight for her,
against all the odds, even another uprising. The short story was quite entertaining and packed full of
surprises. A quick read that I couldn't put down. Packed
with so many different things happening, I couldn't wait to
get to the end and see if the couple overcame the problems
and had a HEA. This is a short story that surprised me, you
get more than what you expected. I would gladly recommend
this story.
