"Wonderful story of angels and demons!"
Brianna Claxton is an aspiring witch. With her best friend's
help, she is learning to work spells. Of course, Brianna is
nowhere near as powerful as Kelly is, but at least she's
learning. Deciding her latest spell didn't work, even though
she finally managed to translate the ancient language,
Brianna is through for the night. So when she hears a loud
thump, Brianna is a bit shocked to say the least, especially
when she sees what caused it. Somehow, Brianna managed to
conjure a man—and not just any man—but a gorgeous hunk of
naked male flesh. Not surprisingly though, it's not a man,
but something else—Brianna can tell by his eyes, not red
like a demon's but definitely not human either. So when
Brianna tries her "fix-it" spell, the man interrupts her and
refuses to go back where he came from. Since he's obviously
in some kind of distress and hot to the touch, Brianna knows
she needs to get him cooled down and eventually manages to
get into the shower, turning down his offer to join him.
Later, she learns his name Asmodeus and that he was in the
Abyss—a place Brianna knows is bad because it's where fallen
angels go. At least now she knows why he doesn't want to go
back there, but she has no idea what to do with him. Now that Asmodeus is finally free of the Abyss, he has no
intentions of going back there—ever. He's already spent
centuries there and now plans on getting his revenge on the
angel who sent him there—Michael. When he finds a knife
mounted on the wall which once belonged to Michael, Asmodeus
decides to have Brianna summon the angel. After all, she
summoned him, she should have the ability to summon Michael
as well. And so he takes Brianna with him when he goes to
find his friends Naberius and Raum. While in Naberius' home with Asmodeus, Brianna is
transported in front of a group of angels where she is given
a choice—either kill Asmodeus, or spend time in the abyss.
Not surprisingly, Brianna decides to go for the killing
option. The only advice she receives from the angels is to
gain Asmodeus' trust and then kill him. Will Brianna be able to get Asmodeus to trust her? Will she
be able to kill Asmodeus? Will Asmodeus go back to the
Abyss? And what stake does Kelly have in all this? ASMODEUS is a wonderful ride through the land of witches,
vampires, angels, Nephilim, demons and fallen angels. Dawn
McClure writes a very engaging story of these different
types of creatures and how they all live in our world. I
really enjoyed reading of Dawn McClure's insight as to how
vampires were created and how the fallen angels came to be
fallen. But of course, this is a story of redemption for
Asmodeus. This story shows us how he came to accept his
responsibility for what occurred in the past, Michael's part
in it, and how love redeemed him in the end. This is a story
I would highly recommend to all lovers of paranormal romance.

Being an aspiring witch is daunting business… When Brianna Claxton accidentally summons a demon, she is forced to face her mistake head-on. That becomes problematic when her mistake comes in the form of a hot, ancient demon named Asmodeus who refuses to go back to the hell from which she summoned him. Thoughts of revenge have kept him sane… Asmodeus is leader of the Rebel Watchers, angels who fell from grace out of lust for human women. He had been subjected to the Abyss, tortured in a virtual Hell in Heaven, until the careless mistake of a human witch released him from the fires. Now faced with temptations of the flesh by the sexy witch who summoned him, he tries convincing himself that embarking on a relationship with Brianna would be a mistake of biblical proportions. Two lives hang in the balance… Just when things start heating up, four Death Angels give her a mission: Use her powers to kill him…or face the Abyss herself. Gaining his trust is the key—except the closer she gets, the more he reveals the man he is, not the demon she thought him to be. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
