"there is no other werecat series out there worth reading except this one"
Faythe is on trial and the hearing isn't going very well.
Accused of two of the three capital offenses recognized by
the Pride, Faythe is pretty certain she is facing a death
sentence. Nobody believes that she can partially shift and
had no idea she had infected her human ex-boyfriend.
Therefore nobody believes that when she murdered him, it was
in self-defense and not to cover up her crime. Stuck in the
mountains, not allowed to shift or go anywhere, Faythe is
climbing the walls and could do with some action. As things goes she gets exactly what she wanted. A rogue
stray is wandering the mountainside and hunting humans.
During the hunt to put a stop to the stray, the Pride come
by a wild teenage tabbycat. Young, scared and with no idea
what has happened to her, Faythe is the only woman and
person around for her to trust. Will she proof herself
useful enough for the tribunal to keep her alive? Will she
survive the stray's attacks? Pride is the third book in the werecat series and there is
no other werecat series out there worth reading except this
one. If this was a movie I would have been on the edge of my
seat the whole way through. From start to finish the book is
filled with action, emotion and suspense. Faythe is an
amazing character, Strong, sassy and realistic she is the
kind of heroine you can not only relate with but would like
to be yourself. The whole series so far has been dark, clever and addictive
and Pride just adds to those attributes. This is a must read
series for any were or cat lover. This is one of my
favorites and I can't wait till the release of book four,
Prey, in July. Rachel Vincent is an amazing writer!
