"A great little book"
Charon is an Incubus, feasting nightly off the wet dreams
of his mortal victims. He could become anyone's lover in a
second and did. Then comes an offer too interesting to
refuse: leave the Incubus world behind and become a
Familiar. One problem: his Witch wouldn't be born for
several centuries. What's a Famliar to do with all that
time? He involved himself in the history of America,
fighting in the Revolutionary War, taking odd jobs in Civil
War times and in 1984. When his witch is born, he knows but
Fate makes him wait another twenty-one years to meet her. Tina always had odd things happening around her. Fresh milk
spoiled, black cats followed her home, things moved by
themselves when she was around. In college, her one real
date ended with the boy's penis getting zipped up in his
pants and they would not unzip. That was the end of dating
for Tina. At least for awhile. She graduates, goes to work
in a bookstore and keeps to her lonely self. Driving home from work in a torrential rainstorm she nearly
hits a black cat. After getting soaked looking for it, she
returns to her car to find the cat sitting in her passenger
seat. She can't keep him, her landlord hates animals but
maybe...just for the night......She wakes up naked in bed
with a man in the same state who says he is her Familiar,
that she is a Witch and together they are going to save the
world. Yeah, right.....but only if he takes her virginity
by Halloween..... A great little book. The pace was just right and I liked
the story concept. I would definitely read more by this
author.
