"romance, intrigue, and non-stop action"
FBI agent Chris Renshaw is hot on the trail of an
international art thief they refer to as "the Magician."
Still suffering from guilt over of the death of her ex-
partner, Chris thinks his death was a result of a bank
robbery committed by the Magician and wants nothing more
than to bring him down. Sure that the Magician will not be
able to resist the lure of a priceless book, Chris goes
undercover as an art dealer in hopes to finally catch the
allusive thief. Robin of Locksley, yes, the famed hero from our storybook
fairy tales is, alive and well and living the life
of a Darkyn -- an immortal blood-drinker. For the past 500
years, he has searched for the priceless Maiden's Book
of Hours, a book created by Brother Thomas de Crewes
that is made up of prayers, fables and portraits of the
people of that time. Instantly taken with Chris, Robin can
hardly believe it when he wakes after a passionate night
together to find her gone. I thoroughly enjoyed what is Ms. Viehl's seventh
installment of The Darken series, Stay the Night.
Filled with romance, intrigue, and non-stop action, this
book does not fail to satisfy. Chris and Robin's chemistry
is explosive as the both of them learn to overcome their
past hurts and regrets. For you long-time fans of this series, you'll be sad to
know that Ms. Viehl plans on this being the last of the
series. However, she does say that she hasn't ruled out
the possibility of re-visiting the series in the future.
I, for one, am hoping that she will eventually come back to
the story because there are still so many characters I
would like to see be explored.
