"Ms. Sawyer draws her reader into Angeni's story"
Angeni Shiku is more than meets the eye. She sings in a
casino in Colorado for now but hopes to make it big. That
is her dream at least, but there is another side to Angeni.
To her people or tribe she is Araneae the spider, a deadly
black widow, protector of the people of her tribe. She has
learned to curb the desire to change since the spider
tattoo appeared on her leg in her teens, and with the help
of her grandmother, but when her family is in trouble she
knows she has to do something to protect them. While
singing at the club she feels the eyes of a strange man
that's been at the club nightly for two weeks. Now she
learns he wants to meet with her, and upon the meeting she
starts having strange feelings for him. What could it mean? Kaus Borealis has been watching Angeni for two weeks now.
He has felt himself drawn to her since he first saw her and
now that they've met he hopes she'll take his offer. Kaus
has a secret of his own and he uses that secret to protect
Angeni. Can Kaus keep Angeni safe and convince her to be
his? Cricket Sawyer draws her reader into Angeni's story, giving
you insight into her life as well as her dreams. The story
has a way of pulling you in deeper and deeper until you
want to know exactly what will happen and if Kaus convinces
Angeni to be his, as well as showing her why they should be
together. Anyone that likes a good mystery with a bit of
romance will enjoy Angeni.
