"A wonderful short story from start to finish"
Mara Davis has decided she wants a white Christmas and goes
home for the holidays. What she finds isn't what she
expected. Her mother is going away for Christmas so she
will be alone for at least a week, and an old flame has
shown up and won't go away. Five years to Mara isn't enough
time to make her forget her love for Paul and now seeing
him again just brings all the pain back. Can she listen and
find it in her heart to forgive him or will she have to
protect herself again and leave once more, maybe for good
this time? Paul Sutherland has waited for five years to find out why
Mara left him. Now she is home, even if it's just for a
short visit and he wants answers. But when he meets up with
her again, she isn't the girl he grew up with and loved.
Now Mara is a woman that really can't stand his company.
Will Paul be able to break the ice around Mara's heart and
show her he is the one for her or will she leave him for
good this time? Destiny Wallace does a good job of bringing her characters
to life in Snow for Christmas. The reader will feel
Mara's pain and anger as well as Paul's bewilderment as to
why she left. Ms. Wallace draws the reader in until they
want to know exactly what happened between Mara and Paul,
and to see if they find a way to be together. A wonderful
short story from start to finish.
