"Uplifting story that will warm your heart"
Christmas should be one of the happiest times of the year,
unfortunately for Carrie and Ryan Summers, their marriage
is quickly heading for divorce. Carrie has a short fuse and
she nags and argues over the most ludicrous things. She
drives her husband crazy but he takes her verbal abuse with
a smile. After another one of Carrie's temper tantrums,
she storms off in her Chevy. While thinking about the
argument she just had with Ryan and the fact that she might
be pregnant, she failed to realize the light had changed.
She was broadsided by a pickup truck that smashed in the
driver's side door. Carrie could see the ambulance and the people gathered
around the scene and she tried desperately to re-enter her
body; after no luck Carrie entered a dark tunnel and
starting walking towards the light. Carrie arrived at what
she thought was heaven, but it wasn't exactly how most
people picture it; there were no pearly gates, fluffy
clouds or people in robes, this place is full of buildings
and sky scrapers. While Carrie explores her new
surroundings she comes across a man named Jon. Jon is a
reviewer; he shows people the error of their ways and tries
to help them see how they could have handled the situation
differently. Jon shows Carrie how selfish and downright
evil she could be to people around her. He also shows
Carrie what life would be like for Ryan if she was no
longer there. Carrie realizes how wrong she was, however,
Jon told her there is no way to change the past, but can
Carrie change the future? A Heavenly Christmas is a brilliantly written story
that is intriguing and uplifting. I loved every minute of
it. If you want a story that will warm your heart and is
filled with a positive message, then this book is for you.
