"a hot and steamy historical"
Rhiannon MacKay , daughter to the Laird of Clan MacKay, has
been
betrothed to Lord Malgor, whom she has never met and is
older than her
father. While Lord Malgor is recovering from a hunting
injury, Adelstan
Cawdor is sent to bring Rhiannon to her betrothed.
Rhiannon and
Adelstan are immediately drawn to each other, but Rhiannon
is promised
to Lord Malgor. THE CONQUEST is an erotic, historical with steamy
scenes but little
medieval flavor. While the main historical facts appear
accurate, the
tiny details fall short on accuracy. For example, Rhiannon
reads and
this fact is mentioned, as if it is a common occurrence
during the rule
of William the Conqueror. Even though the historical
accuracy leaves a
little bit to be desired, the love story between Adelstan
and Rhiannon
is hot and steamy. Be warned this is an erotic story with
voyeurism and
menages. THE CONQUEST is recommended for readers looking for an
erotic love
story, but sticklers for historical accuracy should steer
clear.
