"Fated to be together ..."
Gray Baldwin is a lost soul who craves a stable home life
with a woman and a family to cherish and to be loved back.
As a child, he didn't have these things but as an adult he's
determined to forget his lonely past. When he meets the
Hanwells, he believes he may have a chance. Hope Hanwell is a spoiled daughter who sets her eyes on Gray
for purposes she doesn't even know herself. She thinks she
only wants a summer fling with him before going off to
college, but there's something about Gray that pulls at her
heart. Both have a past that haunts them, but in each other's arms
they find solace, but in the light of day uncertainties
cloud their judgments. Gray learns the past can't be
ignored when an old friend shows up to threaten all his
dreams. Ms. Pike never disappoints. She has penned a tale of
heartbreak, hopes and dreams, while fate's hand guides the
way. Your heart will go out to Gray, wishing you could give
him a hug. Hope is spoiled, but she's young and has a lot
to learn. You see the potential of the woman she could be
and root for her to find her way. I also recommend The
Winds of Autumn and Waiting for the Rain. Warning: You'll need a Kleenex for this story. Karen
