"Another Insterstellar Chess Match results in a Mate for Rhett"
Electra-Djerroldina (Prince Tarrant-Arragon's older sister)
was mated to the youngest Volnoth prince to seal an alliance
between Tigron and Volnoth and children did not matter until
his older brothers died. What most do not acknowledge is
that only a Djinn can make her pregnant; so she is on the
hunt for a sperm donor to save the Volnoth Alliance and
remain with the husband she has come to care for. Prince Djarrhett (Rhett), son of the Saurian Dragon, has
taken a vow of chastity and is appalled by Electra's offer.
That Rhett has attracted Princess Electra's attention was
noticed and misinterpreted by Prince Tarrant-Arragon who
believes his older sister guilty of body-treason and sees
only one way to save her life. He strands Rhett and Electra
on Earth together. In short, both Rhett and Electra are "between a rock and a
hard place" with interfering relatives and political agendas
which make for a rollicking story jam-packed with suspense,
humor and romantic conflicts. Ms Cherry includes a
provocative turn of phrase which will bring a smile while
reading this romp through her Djinn God universe. Like all the books in this series, the title is based on a
chess move or situation. The story has more Chess moves and
clarifications than previous stories which I found
enlightening and clearly explained as the plot unfolds. I've
always heard politics are a chess game and found it
intriguing to see it spelled out in this fantasy other-world.
