"a heartwarming story about the power of love"
Blood Runners Book One Mason Dillinger swore out loud the moment he caught her
scent. He knew in that instant that his life would never
be the same. Finding his life mate in the middle of a
blood run was the last thing he expected and the timing
could not have been worse. Torrance's life is now in
danger and his enemies won't hesitate to use her to get to
him. An undeniable force compels him to protect Torrance
and claim her as his own, but Mason has seen firsthand how
love can destroy a person and he wants no part of it.
Torrance would forever have his loyalty, but he will never
give her his heart. Torrance Watson can't understand her immediate attraction
to the tall handsome stranger in the café. And now that
she knows the monsters of her childhood nightmares are
indeed real, her instincts tell her to run. But running
isn't a smart thing to do when a rogue werewolf is lurking
in the shadows waiting to make her his next meal. Torrance
will have to trust Mason to keep her safe though she
suspects that he is withholding something from her. As
danger closes in on them, she can only hope to escape this
nightmare alive...and with her heart intact. Mason soon realizes that keeping Torrance at arm's length
is easier said than done. Loving her would make him
vulnerable in ways that he refused to allow, but there are
some things that are beyond his control. When Torrance is
taken by a crazed killer, Mason is nearly driven mad by
rage and grief. Determined to rescue his life mate, he
challenges the rogue werewolf to a death match -- a brutal
battle in which Mason will draw his strength from an
unexpected source. LAST WOLF STANDING starts off the Blood Runners series with
a heartwarming story about the power of love and overcoming
one's fears. Appealing secondary characters and the
knowledge of an enemy within the pack set the stage for
subsequent installments. Readers who enjoy paranormal
romance in a contemporary setting should definitely check
out this series.
