"Very down to earth and sexy!"
Melanie Trident deems herself not so beautiful. She has
frizzy hair that has a mind of it's own, plain brown eyes
and a scar on her face. Unlike her sister, Venus, who is
blonde and gorgeous. Sitting at work, day in and day out as
an accountant over at Venus' spa, Venus tells her to get
out and go shopping. So she leaves and happens to go past a shop with erotic
toys. Venus asked her previously if she wanted to go to a
masked party at another club that weekend. In the store
window, there happens to be this mask that definately
intrigues her. Well, she didn't buy the mask, but she goes to a cafe and
sits down to read her book. This good-looking guy strikes
up a conversation with her and she flees because the
attention makes her nervous. With his talk of fate and all. But she does eventually buy the mask to go to the party
with Venus. The rest of the day she has her nose stuck in
her book. She ends up falling into this dream where the
wizard from her book, who had been cursed, has been
searching for her, Melanie. She thinks it's just a dream. The ending was quite interesting and I'm not going to spoil
it for anyone. But let's just say that there was a Happy
Ever After. This would be the first book that I have ever read from Ms.
Bardsley. It jumped back and forth quite a bit, from
reality to fantasy. All I can say to that is, Nice Touch! I
love the way it all came together at the end. Ms. Bardsley has a way of keeping the two worlds apart and
yet bringing them together at the same time. Wonderful
book! Very down to earth and sexy!
