"She breathes life into her characters and makes them come alive with every page"
Welcome back to Necropolis and the Otherworld crime unit.
At the start of this third book, we find Lyra Magice in
France meeting up with the very man she fled from five
years ago, tall gorgeous dhampir Theron LeNoir. When she is
around him she feels things and entertains thoughts that
make her question herself and her beliefs. Theron possesses an ancient book that may help the OCU
solve the series of murders that have been plaguing
Necropolis. Lyra does the unthinkable and puts a spell on
Theron, steals his book and takes it back to Necropolis.
Lyra does not tell Cain (her boss) all the details as to
how she came to possess the book but within hours the truth
comes to light when Theron shows up. When another body is found, Lyra and Theron are forced to
work together and decipher the symbols before another
murder occurs. Will Lyra and Theron be able to resist their
undeniable attraction for one another? What will it take
for the OCU team to figure out who is behind these demonic
acts before the unspeakable happens? Will Theron be able to
convince Lyra to accept him and his dark secret before time
has run out? Vivi Anna just gets better and better! I loved the first
book, the second was awesome and the third book I just
couldn't put down. She breathes life into her characters
and makes them come alive with every page I read. I love
being able to revisit old characters and see how they are
progressing. In Veiled Truth we find out who is
behind all of the heinous crimes in each of the stories; I
hope this does not mean the end for the OCU. If you have
not read books one and two I do not recommend reading this
book, but I do recommend you getting all three.
