"Chick-lit meets paranormal in this witchy & vampy mystery filled story"
Jazz, the feisty witch and gorgeous Vampire Nick are still
together, still immortal and are still very happy. That is
until Jazz starts having some strange nightmares which
include a vivid dream that Nick bites her. Suddenly there
is more fighting than passion in their lives and Jazz
doesn't know what to do. To make things worse Fluff & Puff,
her magickal slippers are being accused of murder and could
be put to death. Sure the bunnies can make trouble, but
kill a man? No they would never do that. Meanwhile some other curious things happen when Jazz helps
out Nick at work, which makes Jazz wonder if Nick is being
completely honest with her about his involvement with the
Protectorate. With some help from her nearest and dearest
friends Jazz tries to find out who or what is messing with
her dreams and also solve her other problems. Sometimes
life can be boring but when it comes to problems - it never
rains, it pours, and Jazz is caught in the downpour. Hex Appeal is the sequel to 50 Ways to Hex Your Lover and
it makes for amazing reading. Chick-lit meets paranormal in
this witchy & vampy mystery filled story and the
combination works well thanks to the author's great writing
style. Very entertaining, this series is made even better
with its mixture of strange and unusual characters ranging
from man-eating slippers to flirty crocodile shoes, and
even some ghosts. Jazz is a great leading lady that a lot of readers will be
jealous of but can still love and admire. With her love of
shopping, coffee and Nick, there is something everyone can
relate to. Nick is the guy that every woman would love to
have and Krebs is the cool, geeky friend everyone needs.
With Irma and her dog also thrown into the mix, this bunch
of characters really make for amusing reading. With so many different stories told in this book you would
expect things to get confusing. However the writer has done
a great job in juggling the different aspects of the story
to make a fun and fabulous read which will have readers
hooked from the first page. Let's hope there are more to
come in this series because Ms. Wisdom has managed to
create something fresh and new, which will please a lot of
different readers of different genres.
