"the characters came to life as you read their story"
Kyoto Hajime never asked for the life he led. To live the
life of an assassin, to go where Magik tells him his next
kill is. To live a lie, never knowing where he would go
next. All to keep the "Gift" from being twisted into
something sinister, dark. To stop people like his brother
that are evil and wanted to turn the gift into something
evil, so they can twist the power into darkness that they
seem to need, crave. So now Kyoto lives his life by day as
a tattoo artist and by night, the killer he is needed to be
to save the world. But all of that changes when Kyoto is
sent to kill Tia Morse. She is the woman he had marked with
the "Dark Lotus". The one woman that had given him some
life back with just her touch. She makes him feel alive
like he hasn't in years. Can Kyoto bring himself to kill
the one woman that makes him feel alive, whole? Will he let
his duty come before his feelings? Or will he for once let
his feelings rule his life like he so passionately wants
too? Tia Morse lives the life that so many would kill for.
Living in Vegas, the life that is full of glitter, and
being a bartender where you get to meet some of the most
colorful and charming people anyone could ever dream of.
All of that comes to life for her when she meets Kyoto
Hajime. A man of mystery that does tattoo's. She can feel
in him passion that flames hot enough to burn her. But
there is something about Kyoto that pulls her to him like
no other. Will Tia still want this man that was sent to
kill her because she has something in her that they fear?
Or will she be able to show him that she is for him? This story blew me away. The way the author built the plot,
the way the characters came to life as you read their
story, I couldn't get enough. And the way most of us fall
for the wounded souls like Kyoto, you can identify with
Tia. I look forward to reading more by this author in the
future; she is one of my auto-buys from this day forward.
