"Story of a mother's love."
Ever since Graham attacked Heather on their ill-fated
camping trip, she's been on the run. Not only did her
boyfriend attack her, he turned her into a Lycan and three
days every month, Heather cannot prevent the change from
coming over her and filling her with bloodlust. As if that
isn't bad enough, he also impregnated her. Somehow, a very
pregnant Heather has managed to survive and outrun Cray, the
man who finally murdered Graham. With her baby ready to be
born any day now, Heather has come to South Beach, hoping
all the female students will help mask her scent. Of course,
she wasn't planning on running into a student she wants for
more than just a one-night stand. For almost nine months now, Cray has been trying to catch
Heather. He's got a little help though, from the woman who
is his mate and Heather's best friend, Cassie. Cray was a
born Lycan, not created, so he can control his changes and
his bloodlust. Because she is his mate, Cassie has learned
to do so as well. Due to Cray's unique Lycan abilities, he
has become a "defender of mankind". In other words, he kills
created Lycans. When they learn from the news that two
students were attacked in South Beach, they both think it
was Heather. So off they go to try and find her trail. Will Cray find Heather? What will he do if he does? What of
Heather's baby? Will she be able to deliver it, or will Cray
get to Heather before she can? And don't forget Mike, the
student Heather met. Will they have the chance for a
relationship? LYCAN LORE 2: OFFSPRING gives us Heather's story this time
around. Shannon Leigh shows us just how desperate Heather
has become to save both her own life and her unborn child.
The fact that we get to find out what happens with Cray and
Cassie is just the icing on the cake. We also get the chance
to learn more about the Lycans and their lore. This is a
very entertaining story and I recommend reading it, actually
reading both stories in the series.

Sequel to Amber Heat best-seller Lycan Lore... Nine months ago, Heather’s life took a dramatic change. She became a werewolf. Shortly thereafter, a lycan hunter named Cray murdered her sire, leaving her to struggle through her horrible existence alone. But if turning into a bloodthirsty, ravenous, beast of the night wasn’t bad enough, she'd also conceived a child on the evening of her attack. With the next lunar cycle about to begin, the hunter hot on her heels, and her unborn child at stake, she's desperate to stay alive. Hoping the hordes of partying females will mask her scent, she flees to the crowded shores of South Beach, right into the arms of a local college student named Mike, a man who could prove more than a one-night stand. Born a lycan, bred a hunter, Cray McCorbin has learned to control his inner beast, as well as accept the responsibility of eliminating other wolves who can't. He's not proud of his job—killing isn't something he enjoys—and prefers to consider himself a protector of humanity, despite his own heritage. Nine months ago, however, fate intervened in his miserable life and fulfilled the old Lycan Lore, presenting him with a mate. Cassandra, Heather's best friend, is all Cray's ever dreamed of and more. But destiny can sometimes come with a cruel hand. Though he'd gladly give his life for her, his duties as hunter comes first. He can't allow any renegade werewolf to escape, not even Cassandra's best friend... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
