"This unusual story is a pleasure to read because it is just not what you expect"
Jen lost both of her parents four months ago in a car
crash. Moving back to her home town wasn't something she
planned but she has taken over their flower shop and with
Eric and Marcy helping her she is doing well. When she
was young Jen thought she had special powers. Seeing
things that nobody else could see, she was eventually
committed and programmed to believe that there was no such
thing as magic, demons or her special light. When Garrett Dermonté is drawn to the town where Jen lives
he didn't think it would be because the Reconciler was
there. After so many years of searching he has finally
picked up on the scent of the woman who will lead his kind
out of the darkness. With the help of his sister Bel, he
has now found the one who is destined to save his race. What Jen doesn't know is that her programming is about to
be put to the ultimate test and her employees are going to
play a big part in what is about to happen. Driving home
one night she is attacked by demons and the gargoyle
Garrett is luckily there to save her. Thrown into the
world she was told doesn't exist, she may finally get the
chance to be what she was born to be. However the heat
between Jen and Garrett is boiling and even though
Gargoyles and humans aren't allowed to mate the urge is
just too great. Gargoyles definitely don't get enough attention in the
paranormal genre and I am happy to see that another writer
has taken them under her wing. C.E. Murphy's Negotiator
series introduced me to these magical creatures and I hope
that she and this author will get more writers moving away
from the everyday vamps, werewolves and fairies to the more
exotic creatures like the hunky and sexy gargoyles in this
book. Wonderfully written this has enough depth, power and heat
for everyone to enjoy. This unusual story is a pleasure
to read because it is just not what you expect. I
thoroughly enjoyed this and hope the author writes more
stories based in this world. If you would like to try a
new kind of paranormal and like your romance all steamy
then this is a story you have to check out.
