Taint of Shadow, Heart of Darkness is part one of a
series. On the way to her wedding, Kayla is captured and used in a
ritual, which changes her life forever. She returns a year
later to exact revenge on those that participated in the
ritual. She isn't the same loving person that she once was
and the dark in her will not allow anyone to stand in the
way of her revenge. Noah is Kayla's mate and has been obsessed with finding her
for the year that she has been gone. His obsession nearly
caused a war between the vampires and the werewolves, but
he knew that she was alive and he could not stop his hunt
for his mate. When Noah finds Kayla, she tries to keep him away. She
can't accept or love the person that she has become. She
knows that there is darkness in her and she does not want
to hurt those that she loves. However, when Noah accepts
and loves her, she has no choice but to allow him to help
her in her quest for revenge. Now, they must fight
together, but can they win the battle before it is too late
for their pack? This is my first Cassandra Moore book and I have to say
that I will be looking for more from her. Moore delivered
great characters, plenty of action and a very well thought
out story. I can't wait to read the next in this series so
I can find out what happens to Kayla and Noah and their
pack.
