"Surprises abound in this installment of the Weather Wardens series"
Joanna Baldwin works for the super secret organization
known only as The Wardens. Being a Warden is an adventure,
they control all of the natural disasters. But an
earthquake in Florida may put an end to what may be the
biggest disaster of all, her wedding. David, the conduit for the New Djinn, has asked Joanna to
be his bride, and she has accepted. But this new disaster
may put an end to everything, and Joanna can't turn to the
Djinn for help, because they can't see the problem or the
power that lies behind it. I love Rachel Caine's books. She is the
quintessential 'leave 'em hanging at the end' author, but
her books are incredible. She literally leaves you panting
for more. You get to the end of this book and you realize
there is no more. You flip it over in some vain effort to
continue the story, and figure out you are stuck until the
next installment comes out. This book was action packed,
and surprisingly more tender than the previous
installments. We get a much better look at David's
personality. Surprises abound in this installment and you
are on the edge of your mental seat, waiting for what comes
next.
