"Will appeal to anyone who has read and enjoyed any Terri Garey or Shanna Swendson books."
Larue is a psychic medium, ghostbuster and bookshop owner
and has been able to see and talk to dead people for as
long as she can remember. Ever since she was a child there
was always a ghostly someone around her. A spirit who
needed help to cross over, a poor soul who didn't know they
were dead and even some came to her because they had
unfinished business. Since visiting Abraham Lincoln's birthplace last month the
famous ghost has attached himself to her. Abe was the
sixteenth president of the USA and is now hanging around
Larue and enjoys reminding her that she doesn't have a
husband yet. Not sure what he wants, she has to put up with
him and hope that he will eventually disappear like all the
previous spirits she has had to deal with. Callahan Weiss just opened a coffee shop in town and Larue
goes in to check out the new guy on the block. After a
little flirting he asks her out and they go on a few
dates. Then over night Callahan changes and it seems he
isn't happy with just the one girl. Larue's best friend
Mindy sees him with Brianna, the town bitch or is it witch?
Is Callahan under Brianna's control or should Larue just
accept that their dates meant nothing to him. This ghostly story was fun, flirty and a simple read that
crossed chick-lit, romance and the paranormal. All in all
an interesting read that will appeal to anyone who has read
and enjoyed any Terri Garey or Shanna Swendson books.
With some stunning leading ladies and a hot looking love
interest this was a very enjoyable read that could be
developed into a fantastic series. Series or not, this is
an author that I have put on my 'to watch' list and I will
be sure to try anything else she has written or writes in
the future.
