"a very different kind of story"

Rebecca's first love was Greg. She had been trying to get over him for a long time. Her life changed dramatically when she drank a little too much champagne at a birthday party given for Greg's wife. Greg and Rebecca end up in bed together without any thought to the consequences if they got caught. They do get caught by Greg's father, Lester. Lester decides God put him in a postion to catch them so he could win her for himself.

I was very intrigued by this story. It started out a little predictable, but quickly reached territory that no other story has been before. This story kept me guessing until the very end. I liked Rebecca and her friends. Rebecca's friends are people that we go through our whole lives looking for.

The story was not resolved at the end but I think it left open the possibility of more to come in this weirdly enthralling tale. I cannot wait to hear more from these characters, I was rooting for Rebecca through this entire story. I am looking forward to reading more from Christina Macone-Greene.

Rebecca DiCecca struggles to erase the memory of Greg, her first love. She succumbs to a champagne-induced passion and finds herself in the upstairs guest bedroom with Greg, while his wife celebrates her birthday downstairs. Rebecca is struck sober when Greg’s father, Lester, dashes into the room and discovers the two in flagrante delicto. Unable to shake the sexual image, Lester becomes infatuated with Rebecca, convincing himself he must save her from a life of sin. Cornered, Rebecca teams up with a trio of ne’er-do-wells who devise an innovative and comical scheme.
