"a great paranormal thriller"
Yessica Battle thought she had gotten past her fear of
clowns, but she found out how wrong she was when her cousin
Marcus brings a clown act to her elementary school class.
She can't believe how fast and bad the terror took over her
rational thoughts. Yessica wants to know what she can do to
get past this terror that runs her life. She wants to find
a man that will love her and have a future and a family,
but she has to get over her past and why she has this fear
of clowns. She can't believe how close she was to having a
breakdown in front of the kids, but she has to pull herself
together because she has a date that night. But unknown to
her is that the date she is having tonight is with Kevin
Thibbideaux, who had helped her cousin out that day in her
class when none of his people could make it. So when they
finally make it on the date that night the attraction hits
on first look for them both. But as they talk and it comes
out that Kevin had been the clown earlier that day, it
brings up Yessica's phobias. All Kevin wants to do is help
her find out why she fears clown so much, but when they
start this search they never would have dreamed why and
what had happened in her past to make the fears come out.
What will they do when they discover why she has her fears?
And will Kevin see her through this soul searching she has
to do to figure out what had happened to the woman he was
starting to care very much about? Will Yessica get what she
really wants? Silly Fears was a great paranormal suspense story.
It had it all, fears of clowns, being in the same space as
the thing you fear so much, and meeting the man who will
help you through the hard times to find out what really was
behind the fears of clowns. But when it all comes out do
they really want to know what triggers Yessica's fears?
Also add some ancient practice of voodoo and you have one
great paranormal thriller that will have you under the
covers until you read what happens.

|
A crippling fear of clowns has plagued Yessica Battle since she was a child. She thought she had it mastered until her cousin Marcus, the owner of a traveling all African-American circus, brings an act to her elementary school class to entertain them -- a clown act. In the grip of terror, Yessica wonders how she can move on with her life -- find a man and fall in love -- if she can't let go of the past. And if having a breakdown in the classroom isn't bad enough, she's got a date, the same night. It's a good thing she doesn't know the two are related. Kevin Thibbideaux, as usual, bails his friend Marcus out when his people can't make the gig at Yessica's class. It's not that simple, though; Kevin's white. So Marcus must hide Kevin's face since he can't have a white man representing his Soul-To-Soul Circus. Kevin agrees, but not just for Marcus. This way, he'll get a chance to preview the woman he's been set up with for a date that night. He just hopes she's not a woman with a lot of issues or looking for a man to save her. When they finally meet face to face, the sexual attraction is strong and immediate. But then the truth comes out about Yessica's phobia and Kevin's secret. Add an encounter with the ancient practice of voodoo, and they're thrown together in the discovery that Yessica's silly fears are no laughing matter.
