REVIEW

"There is never a dull moment in this adventure"

Lizzie Brown was adopted and never felt the need to look for her biological parents. So when her grandmother phones her from out of the blue wanting to meet her she is expecting a frail old woman. Ready to celebrate her 30th birthday she answers the door and finds her not so frail looking grandmother outside. Before she knows what has happened her grandmother has her locked in the bathroom and is ranting on about covens, spells and demons.

Her first meeting with her grandmother isn't going exactly as she had imagined it but things get even more bizarre when a creature appears in the bathroom with her. The Xeres demon gets a good look at Lizzie and grandma starts pulling out ziploc bags of strange things. Before she knows what is happening the demon is gone and her dog starts talking to her. This is definitely turning out to be one hell of a birthday for Lizzie.

The fun isn't over there though. Protector Dimitri joins the party and things start getting hot. Then her grandmother gets taken and Lizzie has to train and practice as fast as she can so she can go rescue the family she never knew she had. Will she be able to kill Vald? Well the pressure is on because she is the demon slayer and if anyone can kill him, Lizzie can.

This action packed Cosy Paranormal romance is filled to the brim with demons, werewolves, demons, griffins and witches. There is never a dull moment in this adventure that is a healthy cross between Stephanie Plum and Julie Kenner's Demon Mom series. A good story with extremely interesting characters, only the quickness of the heroine accepting her new family was slightly questionable.

With magic and mayhem mixed with love and laughter the author has put together a good tasty starter that many readers will enjoy. Not dark, deep or hot this would be a good novel for someone new to the Paranormal Romance genre to try.
