"an erotic tale of survival and sacrifice"
Charlie has hit rock bottom. A little over a year ago, she was wealthy and about to
marry into one of the galaxy's most prestigious families.
Now she's penniless working in a seedy bar on a miserable
fringe planet inhabited by humans and the animalistic Xorn
race. Her meager wages barely afford her enough to provide
food and shelter for herself and her younger brother, yet
she refuses to do what the other barmaids do to supplement
her income. When her brother incurs a huge gambling debt
to Lynx - one of the dreaded Xorn, Charlie calls upon him
to work out a payment arrangement. With no funds and few
options, Charlie reluctantly enters into an agreement with
Lynx -- A bargain in which the debt will be settled with
pleasure and pain. "The Thirst" is upon Lynx and only Charlie can satisfy his
need. He knew the moment he held her hand that she was the
one for him -- if only she didn't despise his touch.
Desperate for the sustenance that only Charlie can provide,
Lynx resorts to a plan that leaves Charlie no choice but to
submit to his will. As Charlie finds herself mysteriously
drawn to Lynx, her fear of him grows even more. Can Lynx
convince Charlie that they are soul mates? Or will his
fierce desires drive her away from him forever? CHARLIE'S BARGAIN is an erotic tale of survival and
sacrifice. Although the main characters are clearly
motivated by the need for self preservation, they also
manage to put the needs of others before themselves.
Charlie, though naïve at times always faced her problems
head on and never shirked her responsibilities. Lynx chose
exile over living without love and his honesty nearly cost
him everything. They were both willing to die for the
welfare and safety of someone else and for that reason
alone, readers will root for their happiness. Reviewer's Note: This book contains
situations
that some may find objectionable: Explicit sexual content,
graphic language, public humiliation, nonconsensual sex and
anal intercourse.
