"suspenseful in every sense of the word"

Twelve years ago Haley Carling's sister disappeared and Haley started spending all of her time trying to hold what was left of her family together. She runs her late father's shop and cares for her alcoholic mother. When her sister's remains are found in the basement of their grandmother's old home, the finger pointing starts.

Dean Lawson is the man that everyone always assumed was responsible for the disappearance of Michelle Carling. Along with Dean the fingers start to point at the Carling family. Dean wants to clear his name and Haley is trying to protect her family from the town bad boy's accusations. Haley soon realizes that Dean is the only one she can trust. Someone begins to stalk Haley and Dean wonders if he's made a mistake that could cost Haley her life.

This is a great book. You are kept guessing until the end of the story. It was suspenseful in every sense of the word. I could relate to everything that happened to Haley and Dean. Both of them were only trying to do what they felt was right. Their romance in the story was very real and the story flowed nicely. The novel was so descriptive I could imagine myself in either Dean's or Haley's place. I was very moved by this well written story.
