"Dark and sexy 'The Last Angel' has to be the one of the powerful reads in the paranormal genre."
When an angel is found murdered on the streets of Los
Angeles a media circus start covering the big story. For
the Hunters who work underground fighting any kind of
supernatural monster they find this is just a new case that
has to be solved and fast. The big question is if the
angel is real. Some believe it is while others think it is
a prank. After all would God really allow one of his
angels to be found dead in the open like that? Kayla Steele is the newest and youngest member of the
Hunters team. She joined up when her fiancé Karrel Dante
got killed and she hoped that the position would help her
find out more about his death. Now she is stuck with the
Hunters and her questions are still unanswered. Will she
ever find what she needs? The death of an angel has started something big and Kayla's
questions will have to wait. The Hunters know something
about angels and are sure that Armageddon is about to
start. Unfortunately they will need to team up with their
enemies, the werewolves, if they want to stop the human
race from being destroyed. This is the 2nd part in the 'Kayla Steele Adventures' and
my first impression was that this newest novel was not as
good as the first book Dante's Girl. However, after
finishing this new story, due out at the end of July, I was
left feeling like I had just read one of the best sequels I
could have hoped for. The Last Angel is Paranormal Urban Fantasy at its
greatest. No love, romance or friends who get in the way.
Just a pure action packed reading ride that will grip you
till the end. Excitement and thrill-filled from the very
first page, the writer knows what she is doing and makes
this story into something that you won't be able to put
down. This series and lead girl are on the same level as the 'Jaz
Parks' by Jennifer Rardin and 'Anna Strong' by Jeanne Stein
series. The writing is great the plot is good and you
have vampires, werewolves and now angels added into the
paranormal mix. Dark and sexy The Last Angel has to
be the one of the powerful reads in the paranormal genre.
It is bloody fun and fearless and while the cliff-hanger
ending is cruel, it will have you coming back for more.
