"Plenty of excitement"
Chicago Police Department Captain Sam Clark informs
detectives Clint Marshall and Laura Carter that they will
go under cover as a married couple. Laura rejects the idea
of spending any time with the Texas "Cowboy". Clint
silently agrees with her assessment, as he does not want to
spend time with Miss Society. Clark could not care less
what his two employees think so Clint and Laura play the
role of a married couple. Apparently the mark, Peter Monroe wants acceptance in
society and once dreamed of being a cowboy while growing up
in New Jersey. Thus, the Cowboy and Miss Society are to
become married friends of Peter in order to find evidence
linking him to the Russian Mafia. As Laura and Clint
pretend to be a loving couple, they fall in love for real,
but there is no way a Boston blue blood and a two Horse
Junction Texan could form anything permanent once the
Monroe assignment ends. A STETSON ON HER PILLOW is an exciting police
procedural romance that starts playfully hot over three
days of role playing before turning into two days of torrid
reality. The charming lead protagonists are an odd couple
who shares in common police work and love. Though
the "compromise" ending will annoy some readers, Ms. Liholm
provides a heated tale of opposites finding love as the
