"Who knew leaving your body could be so fun?"
Seven young women returned from summer camp not entirely
the same. Gifts from the realms of the fae were cast upon
them. Gifts not meant for humankind. Now that the women are
adults, men from the other realm have been sent to claim
the women as their mates to guide them through their
blossoming talents. Hannah Dexter came back from Camp Silverwood with the
ability to leave her body and ride the astral plane as a
ghost. Unfortunately that led her to find her fiancé
cheating on her. Now he's back with an invitation to his
wedding. When he asks if Hannah will be bringing anyone,
she quickly snags Simon, the guy manning the counter of her
coffee shop and pretends they've been dating. What's wrong
with that? He's gorgeous, plus he plays along without
missing a beat. Then again, how was she to know that Simon is one of the
fae vying for her hand? Or that her other employee, Troy,
is watching the entire interaction. Burgeoning powers. Two
sexy elves from warring fae factions fighting over her.
What more could a human woman want? Well, maybe being able
to tell which elf loves her and which is only after
controlling her gift might be nice. Haunting Hannah is a fun quick read. It's the second in the
Sisters of Silverwood series, though it's not necessary to
read the first one to understand what's going on. However,
I am interested to see what gifts the other six women left
Silverwood with. It's slightly predictable in how
everything turns out, but that doesn't take anything away
from it's charm and happily ever after. What I enjoyed the
most was the creativity of Hannah's ghosting abilities and
how she used them on the men. This is a fun installment to
what appears to be a great series.
