"You will find yourself swept away to another time and place"
Brenna Terrell is half gyspy, half English woman. Her
mother died leaving her to be brought up by her English
father who believes in none of the gyspy nonsense her
mother tried to tell her about. After losing her father
also, she moved with her uncle, aunt and their daughter to
Roanoke Island. The moment she set foot on the island she
knew something wasn't right. Tarian is a "savage" who hunts exactly what it is that
Brenna senses. Death walkers, or vampires as the English
call them have become a problem on Roanoke, along with
other horrors. He is a gifted "monster hunter" who is
following what the Spirts have promised him. His destiny is
bound to the Raven. Brenna and Tarian are very sexual and sexy characters.
They argue alot because of not understanding each other
(like most men and women) but can be very tender and loving
also. This story is enthralling. You will find yourself swept
into another time and place before you even know it. There
is a lot of information as to what is going on in the story
that comes quickly, followed by action. It makes for a
moderately paced book that flows back and forth between
Tarian, Brenna, and the community that she has come to
love.
