"beautifully written"
Lady Lily Rouge was on her way to meet her betrothed, the
Marquis, when her carriage happened into an Enchanted
Forest. When a large black wolf scared off her driver, she
was left to fend for herself in an Enchanted Forest. Sir
Marrok Ulfang was cursed to become a werewolf every night
when the moon rises. The curse can only be broken by a
maiden's love and total surrender. Is Lily the maiden he
has waited for thirteen hundred years to claim, or is
Marrok doomed to be le loup-garou forever? This story was beautifully written. The imagery used was
powerful and exciting. Ms. Scarlett lived up to her last
name with her erotic passages, and nearly breathtaking
encounters between the main characters. The love scenes
are scorching hot, and reach into the core of a woman. I
love the author's twist on old legends, and how she brings
them back to life. She did her research well and fleshes
out her characters with passion that is rarely seen in
modern literature anymore. I would have loved it if this
book was longer, simply because I didn't want to stop
reading it. I would love to see more of Ms. Scarlett's
work.

A huge black wolf stalks Lily, forcing her to shelter in a rustic cottage. In the morning, she comes under the protection of the cottage's owner, a ruggedly handsome (and naked!) woodsman. He's determined to seduce her before sundown, even if it means giving the nosy pixies fluttering outside the window an eyeful. Sir Marrok Ulfang has been impatiently awaiting the arrival of the comely maiden in the red cloak for over a millennium. Now he has one day to win her heart and claim her first sexual surrender, or he'll remain a wolf shapeshifter, alone forever. But spirited, saucy Lily has a mind of her own, and the daylight is fading fast.
