"a strong, fast-paced story"
Dr. Alex Stratton wasn't happy that one of his nurses was
bringing her Druid powers into his hospital of all places.
He doesn't believe in her powers, but when he looks at her,
her beauty calls to him. As they are around each other the
attraction grows stronger, but as those feelings grow
stronger, he lets her know that there is no future for what
they are feeling for each other. He shares with her what he
wants for his future; his future has a rich society wife
that will support him and help establish a high paying
practice. But unknown to Alec, she is a very rich woman,
but didn't want others to want her for her family's setting
in society. When he finds out who she really is, he can't
believe what he did. He then turns the tables on her and
tells her it is all her fault for not being honest with
him. Vivie Field, the Druid daughter had shortened her name so
that she wouldn't get special treatment for being the
daughter of Lord Lance and Morgan Dellafield. And on top of
that she is the granddaughter of the family who was
supporting Dr. Stratton's childrens' wing. Because of all
of that she wanted to be known for who she was, not who she
came from and what her family could do for others. She
starts to work for Dr. Alec Stratton, who is a cold man at
best. But he brings out feelings in her, but in turn shuts
down what they might have been because she wasn't what he
felt was the right future wife for him. But after being
turned away she opens a clinic that offers medical help for
druids and traditional medicine. But the difference with
her clinic is that she feels for the people, and with her
talents her patients thrive. Another doctor comes to assist
her and falls deeply in love with her. But when things are
looking up for Vivie, someone threatens her life and all
that she has built. Can they find who this person is that
wants her hurt or worse? This is a great paranormal romance, I couldn't put it down.
I loved the way that Vivie wanted to build her future on
her own merits, not on what and who her family is. The
mystery builds when Vivie opens her own clinic, and then
her life is threatened. It is a strong, fast-paced story
that will keep you guessing.

Dr. Alec Stratton, a cold disciplinarian, can't believe one of his
nurses is bringing her Druid medicines into his hospital. Vivie Field,
Druid daughter of Lord Lance and Morgan Dellafield, shortened her name
to avoid favoritism. She's the granddaughter of the ducal couple
supporting Dr. Stratton's children's wing. Alec refuses to believe in her Druid powers but can't overcome his
desire for her Celtic beauty. When the sexual attraction between them
grows, he warns her off. He confesses he wants a rich society wife to
help him establish a wealthy practice. But when Alec discovers he's
rejected a rich and aristocratic Vivie he reacts with horror, blaming
her for not confiding the truth. Vivie opens a clinic offering both Druid and conventional medicine,
with her talents devoted to her patients. Another doctor assists her
there and falls in love with her. Then Vivie's life is threatened.
