"A well written paranormal romance with characters you will want to hear from again!"
When Emma St. Clair is killed by a hit-and-run driver the
emergency team do all they can and bring her back to life.
After a long recovery Emma, a medical examiner, feels well
enough to go back to work. Although she starts having
second thoughts about her mental well being when she sees
the ghost of her autopsy victim. The woman also tells her
who killed her and how. Is Emma hallucinating? How can
she convince herself and others that what she is seeing and
hearing is true? Detective Jason MacKenzie lost a very good friend in the
accident that Emma was involved with. His sister was also
killed by a hit-and-run driver a year ago and both unsolved
crimes are occupying his mind more than they should be.
When Jason notices that Emma seems to know information
about cases that she couldn't possibly know he focuses his
investigation on the intriguing coroner. His interest
doesn't stay professional as he keeps thinking about her in
a romantic way. Emma's new skill has given her clues to find a killer. She
puts her own life at risk to identify him and tries to
convince people that her skill is real. When another
detective becomes the killer's newest victim, she goes to
Jason for help. Will she be able to keep her secret safe?
Or will she have to tell him? After all he is always on
her mind. This is a great mystery with a spooky twist. With ghosts,
suspense and a realistic love story this is definitely a
book that would please a lot of readers. The characters
are strong and the storyline is interesting. The
relationship between Emma and Jason evolves throughout the
book and doesn't go too fast or too serious too soon. A
well written paranormal romance with characters you will
want to hear from again!
