"I absolutely fell in love with the newest edition to the Scions Series"
When Detective Kaitlyn McKinney gets a call about a strange
disturbance at the park, she discovers a burnt body that is
not quite human. Kaitlyn has the ability to see the
deceased victim's energy signature. However Kaitlyn's
investigation is soon interrupted by Landon Rourke, a PI
that sometimes lends his help to the police department.
But this time he is there for personal business. Some
zerkers from his former pack have come up missing and he is
bound and determined to find out who's behind the evil
plot. Kaitlyn is instantly drawn to Landon and she feels
protected around him even though this is the first time
they have ever met. Landon, who vowed to protect and watch over Kaitlyn ever
since she was young, is beginning to realize he has fallen
for her and he can tell she somewhat feels the same for
him. However there are several key reasons that Landon,
despite how he feels, tries to distance himself from
Kaitlyn. Since she is not Lupreda and because Landon shares
a dark past with Kaitlyn's father, he feels all he can do
is fight his feelings and offer his protection. When Kaitlyn asks Landon to assist her on investigating the
Tacomi Warehouse the action begins. Kaitlyn and Landon
discover someone from the warehouse is responsible for the
zerkers death. With the Garotter's hot on Kaityln's tail
for snooping, Landon must do everything in his power to
protect her. However, dark secrets are soon revealed that
have changed Landon and Kaitlyn's life. Can Kaitlyn
forgive Landon's dark past? Scions: Insurrection by Patrice Michelle is, without a
doubt, one of the best books I have ever read. This is a
wonderful continuation of the Scions series. I totally
fell in love with the characters, especially Landon
Rourke. I loved his take charge alpha attitude. I would
recommend this book to all my friends who dearly love
paranormal romances. Patrice, you have out done yourself.
I can't wait for the next one in the series.
