"A story filled with all different types of beings, good and bad!"
Now through school, Bronwyn has just landed a job at
Baybridge working for Wynth, the same company her father
worked for. When she arrives, along with her little dog and
the black cat, she's a bit taken aback by all the security.
From razor wire fences to guard shacks, opening her trunk
and even her dog receiving a security badge, Bronwyn is a
bit nervous. Of course, the storm that hits as she arrives
at Baybridge doesn't help. Bronwyn is still afraid of
storms. When she arrives at the office of Dr. Hesar, the
head of the prison, she's met by her mother and one of Dr.
Hesar's children, Sage, also a doctor at Baybridge. At this
point, Bronwyn still isn't over losing Sean and the
circumstances of her father's and son's deaths. Of course,
she still has Cedric around and her Nightwind, Danyon
hasn't let up pressuring Bronwyn into signing the contract.
When Bronwyn and her mom finally sit down and talk, Bronwyn
learns Brian O'Shea, Sean's real father, is also at
Baybridge. Naturally, she wants to talk to him. When she
does finally get the chance to talk to Brian, she learns
the real story of what happened to Sean and finds she no
longer holds him responsible for her father's and son's
deaths. Viraiden Cree, now head of security for Baybridge, is still
trying to reconcile his two halves. After the queen brought
Sean back, she transformed him into Viraiden since she
didn't have any of Sean's DNA to work from. Even though
Viraiden is the dominant personality, Sean still creeps
through every now and then and when Sean realizes Bronwyn
is there, he comes through even more. The scent of the
Nightwind on Bronwyn does not exactly fill Cree with joy,
however. Even though Viraiden knows he should stay away
from Bronwyn, he finds he can't. Is there a chance for Viraiden and Bronwyn? Will Danyon be
content to only pressure Bronwyn to sign the contract, or
will he resort to other methods? What will happen between
Bronwyn's mom and her one-time beau, Dr. Hesar? BLACKWIND: VIRAIDEN AND BRONWYN is a story filled with all
different kinds of beings, from Nightwinds and the Bugol
Noz, to Reapers and Amazeens. Once again, Charlotte Boyett-
Compo comes through with a tortured hero, all kinds of
danger, and a heartfelt sigh at the end of the story. This
one is a bit different due to the Sean Cullen/Viraiden Cree
angle and how the two of them must come to terms with
living in one body. Have to say, I really loved the
secondary characters of Cedric and Ralph. And Brian is much
more of a father figure to Viraiden than he was to Sean. I
can't wait to see where the next one in this series takes
us.

Second in a two-book saga. Bronwyn McGregor has known the depths of heartache. Having lost the man she'd loved since childhood and the child their great love created, she has thrown herself into her work as a psychologist, determined to help those who cannot help themselves. The last thing on her mind is finding romance among the criminally insane at Baybridge Sanitarium. From a seething cauldron of evil, Viraidan Cree was created in the frigid winds of space. Dredged up from a bog in the wilds of Ireland where he has spent centuries of unlife, he is a Reaper, a warrior among warriors, a being so lethal, so dangerous he cannot be controlled. Yet lurking within the reborn warrior is the spirit of a dead man whose love has survived against all odds. Given the job to secure the safety of those who work at Baybridge, Cree takes one look at Bronwyn and vows to make her his own. But the NightWind Danyon Hart is listening to the Reaper's deep desires. He too has his sights set on Bronwyn and will allow no one to get in his way…especially not a Reaper! Note: We recommend reading BlackWind: Sean and Bronwyn before reading BlackWind: Viraiden and Bronwyn.
