"It is officially cool to be a Zombie"
One minute you're drinking a nice drink and the next minute
some strange smelly dude is breathing on you and turning
you into a zombie. The recently deceased Amanda Feral is
trying to break into Seattle's undead scene. Armed with
mortuary-grade makeup, six-inch stilettos and style she is
trying to curb her need for human flesh and decent
vodkatinis. Her world has been turned upside down and she is now
surrounded by vampires, werewolves and shape shifters.
Although on the bright side there is that nice hot
bartender named Ricardo to keep her feeling like a real
woman. With some undead friends to keep her company she is
just trying to make the best of her early death and new
found undead life. However dry skin is the least of Amanda's problems when one
of her undead friends disappears after texting her a
message with one single word, "help". Super Amanda to the
rescue! While hunting down her friend she finds there is
more to the Seattle undead scene than she first thought.
Whatever is trying to turn Seattle into a place of terror
will get what's coming to them soon, although it could also
go another way and Amanda will meet a fate worse than death
instead. Mark Henry is the Jasper Fforde of the Paranormal genre and
he should be welcomed with open arms and alcohol. This was
fun, witty and utterly hilarious! Amanda, the main
character is 'Queen Betsy' zombie style with a 'Potty
mouth'. She is an amazing main character and will leave you
wanting more. This is 'Sex in the City' zombie style with
all the fashion, make-up and cocktails. This is new and original. Nothing like anything you will
have read before and it will have you laughing out loud and
literally dying for the next book because it is officially
cool to be a Zombie and Vamps are so last year! Oh and this isn't a one off. 'Road Trip of the Living Dead'
is the second part in this new series and will be hitting
the shelves next year.
