"Charlotte Boyett-Compo packs a powerful punch once again!"
Ever since Sean Cullen moved to Albany and was enrolled in
the Catholic school, and he met Bronwyn MacGregor, he knew
her to be his soul mate. After an incident in school when
Sean was punished unfairly, his father pulled him out and
put him in the public system. Of course, Sean is what is
called "shanty Irish" while Bronwyn's father is a doctor.
Sean's father owns a butcher shop. The two of them lose
contact with each other until Bronwyn starts high school,
when they become an item, in spite of her parents' dislike
of Sean. When Bronwyn's father offers Sean a check to stop
seeing Bronwyn, Sean refuses the money and it eventually
comes into his father's hands. Right after that, one of
Bronwyn's cousins and four of his friends brutally attack
Sean, who then seeks his revenge. On top of that, his
father also goes after both Sean and his mother and Sean
has enough. He decides to join the military. So that night,
he and Bronwyn get together for the last time. Little does
Sean know, his mother killed his father while he was gone
and she ended up getting caught. When he gets into a fight
in the courtroom during his mother's trial, he ends up in
jail for thirty days. Meanwhile, Bronwyn's father has decided to take matters
into his own hands and will do whatever it takes to keep
his daughter away from Sean. So, both parents drug Bronwyn
and she ends up in a convent school in Ireland. However,
she isn't alone. On their last night together, Bronwyn
became pregnant. Add to that, Bronwyn keeps seeing someone
just outside the convent's grounds who looks like Sean. Who is this mysterious man Bronwyn keeps seeing? What will
happen to her child? What happens to Sean when he finally
does get out of jail? BLACKWIND: SEAN AND BRONWYN is a classic tale of thwarted
lovers, with a paranormal twist. Charlotte Boyett-Compo
once again does what she does best and tells the tale of
two tortured lovers and a love meant to be. And yes, our
beloved Reapers do make an appearance in this tale,
although in the second half of the book. This adds quite a
twist to the story as Sean is forced into situations and
acts he does not want to do, but must in order to keep
Bronwyn safe. One thing about all of Charlotte Boyett-
Compo's books, I always find myself pulled into the story
immediately and the action keeps going right up until the
last page. Now I just have to read the next one in this
series to find out what happens. As always, I highly
recommend this story.

Sean and Bronwyn have loved one another since grammar school. Believing Sean isn't good enough for their child, Bronwyn's parents will do everything in their power to keep them apart, including spiriting Bronwyn off to a secluded convent in Ireland. But Sean isn't entirely human. Born of an Earthly mother and implanted with an alien parasite that makes it possible for him to shape-shift into a wolf-like creature, the young man is far more than Bronwyn's parents counted on. Determined to be reunited with the woman he loves, Sean will do what is necessary to have her in his arms once again. From the mists of time and space, another creature lies in wait, eager to steal Bronwyn from Sean. Danyon Hart is a NightWind, an immortal created to aid women in their times of despair. He has heard Bronwyn's lonely cries and has come from the far reaches of the megaverse to claim her.
Fighting to get back to one another, the lovers must strive against a brutal evil that is dogging their every footstep. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Note: This book was originally published elsewhere under the same title. Genre: Romance - Paranormal
